The problem
People had trouble finding pierogi places nearby, and placing an order quickly was hard. The goal was an app that finds nearby stores and gets an order in fast.
Research
I ran interviews and built empathy maps. The main group was women aged 18 to 35. A journey map after the interviews showed how much a dedicated app would help.
Competitors that already had their own ordering apps were doing well with them, which backed up the idea.
Design and testing
I drafted every screen on paper first, so only the ideas that answered real pain points made it into the digital wireframes. Those became a low-fidelity prototype.
We ran a usability study where participants used that prototype to complete set tasks in the app. The final high-fidelity prototype made the flow through the app cleaner.
