Product design, research and the software behind it
I design the software real businesses run on, and I see it all the way to launch. 315+ properties, 40+ staff and crew and $2.3M+ in bookings ran on systems I designed. 13 years in, a Georgia Tech M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction, and a studio behind me that shipped 325+ products.
- 10xmore leads per ad dollar after I rebuilt paid search
- 325+products shipped at my design studio
- 2,700+commits in six months across 20 codebases
- 3,500+automated tests guarding live money
- 83Kmonthly readers on FarsiChart, a platform I created
- 5books I've written on design, technology and business
Software real businesses run on
Systems real teams ran on every day, with real money on the line. Each write-up covers the problem, the people, the calls I made and what it changed for the business.

SSM operating app
$450K+ a year in owner charges now runs through the operating app I designed for a 250-property management company, with QuickBooks invoicing and 3,015 automated tests behind it. It's been live on real money since June 2026, and it hands the partners back 1,500+ hours a year.

Palm Heaven operations: pricing, CleanerProof and direct booking
5,400+ crew hours a year back, 2,000+ turnovers a year with photo proof and pricing rebuilt on $1.44M of real bookings. I designed and shipped the operating software for a 65-property short-term rental company, from a crew app that went live one day after its first commit to a direct-booking site built to block double bookings.

DoorStain booking and operations app
$887K of booked work, 25 employees and 6 markets ran on a Google Sheet and Zapier, and nothing tracked the money. I designed and shipped one web and iPhone app with per-market logins and an append-only payment ledger, which gave the office back 1,000+ hours a year and stopped $25K+ a year in payments from slipping through.

- Data products
FarsiChart, a bilingual music-data platform
71,107 Google clicks every 28 days, up from 8 in April 2026, and 83K real visitors a month. FarsiChart is my own product: I created, designed and built the English and Persian music chart and the engine that writes, designs and posts 15 chart stories a day to Telegram and Instagram.

Research-first case studies from my earlier portfolio: interviews, surveys, personas, journey maps, card sorts, flows, wireframes and final screens. Most were concepts. Each one now reads as a proper page, with the original slides as figures.

SuperEstar: Celebrity marketplace research
UX research for SuperEstar, a marketplace where fans pay celebrities for personalized videos and shoutouts. We surveyed fans and interviewed celebrities, then I mapped tasks and priorities for both sides.

FME: Fleet management web and mobile app
A driver app and a fleet owner dashboard built around daily truck inspections and driving scores. Concept work covering a SWOT, interviews, personas, a journey map, flows, wireframes and high-fidelity screens for both apps.

GoTour: Travel booking app
A 2021 iOS concept for booking hotels and transport without an agent in the middle. I took it from interviews and a survey through card sorting, user flows and wireframes to final screens.

Medcare: Doctor appointment booking app
A doctor appointment app for patients who wanted their consultations online during the pandemic. Interviews, 2 personas and a journey map shaped its 5-section structure and a 3-screen booking flow.

Estudy: E-learning platform for students and teachers
An e-learning platform for students and teachers, designed around one gap: after enrolling, learners couldn't get guidance from mentors. A 46-response survey and a look at 8 competitors led to live classes, instructor chat, assignment feedback and mobile banking at checkout.

Airport Explorer: Airport guide and AR navigation app
A mobile app I designed as an assignment for passengers with hours to kill at a big airport. It finds food and shops nearby, tracks your flight from a scanned boarding pass and guides you there with AR directions.

Denta: Dentist booking and consultation app
A 2021 mobile app for booking a dentist and consulting them by video, audio or chat, with its own side for dentists. Built on a 38-response patient survey, a four-competitor review, personas and full flows for both sides.

Healthcare Hub: Healthcare app for patients, doctors and clinic staff
A patient app, a doctor dashboard and a clinic admin view in one healthcare system. I shaped it from a user survey and a review of three rival apps.

Petme: Pet adoption app
Petme is a mobile app design for adopting shelter dogs. I took it from competitor and user research through a lifestyle questionnaire, wireframes and high-fidelity screens.

Sales.io: E-commerce admin dashboard
A web dashboard for online store admins, built on 10 user interviews, two personas and a SUS survey. Sales, orders, customers and messages each get their own screen.
SalesUp: Sales goal tracker
A sales goal tracker for people with no time to track goals. Two rounds of usability testing changed the navigation and turned Goals into Tasks.
Pierogi Finder: Order-ahead food app
An app for finding nearby pierogi shops and ordering fast. Interviews, a journey map and a usability study on the low-fidelity prototype shaped it.
Other things I've made
doNext
An AI task manager I designed and shipped solo: a thought, a voice note or a screenshot becomes a task scheduled around your energy. First commit to version 4.6 in 8 days, live with paid plans.
See it
Lucid
A native SwiftUI app for iPhone and Apple Watch that reads REM sleep from heart rate and wrist motion, then taps your wrist with a haptic cue mid-dream so you can recognize it. 88 features designed and shipped in three weeks; in TestFlight.

GiftAlibi
A gift subscription for busy partners. Add the dates that matter once, and fresh flowers, chocolates and a card in your own voice arrive on the day, on time or it's free. I designed the brand, the site and the app flows, from a 4-step add-a-date setup to the dashboard and gift previews, and built it in a single sitting.

ClassNudge
A class planner a real dental school cohort runs on. One person sets up the class, everyone inherits a shared, always-correct schedule, and each student gets a daily plan, study packs for upcoming exams and a nudge whenever a deadline or room changes. I designed and built it, including its accessibility pass: 44px touch targets, visible focus rings and a confirm step before anything is deleted.

MindDrop
An AI video studio that runs itself. It finds ideas, scores them, renders and uploads 9 Shorts a day and learns from its own analytics: 1,729 videos published and subscribers up 5.6x, with automatic rollback and a hard daily spend cap.
SuperEstar
My own celebrity-booking marketplace, where fans and brands pay a star for a personal video, a like or comment on their post, or a video call. I ran the fan and celebrity research, designed and launched it, then rebuilt it in English and Persian in 4 days.
BEZ Management
Managed creators and recording artists on brand deals, with 16M+ combined followers. Two client mobile games I helped develop passed 500,000 downloads and hit #1 on the App Store.
NoticeOffice
An institutional design system for a formal-notices office: type system, monogram and shield emblem, and one source that regenerates every social image and icon.
Five books
Including The UX Design Process: A Comprehensive Guide and The Ethics of Algorithmic Decision Making.
The same loop on every project
Whether it's a crew app or an AI feature, the work moves through four steps, and the last one feeds the first.
Find where time and money leak
Interviews, surveys and time with the crews. For the property app I mapped every dollar the partners spend and recover before drawing a screen, and the cross-check later caught errors in 35% of the hand-made owner reports.
Design the whole system
Flows, information architecture and Figma, about 8 years of it, plus a design system that keeps every screen consistent. One product became three apps behind one login, each with its own privacy rules.
Build it, fast
I turn the design into working software with modern tools, AI included: 2,700+ commits across 20 codebases in six months, under standards I wrote. Nothing is done until it works on the live system.
Ship, measure, harden
Real users and real money from day one, guarded by 3,500+ automated tests, audit trails and automatic rollbacks. Then the next round of changes.

Designer first, builder second

I started out designing 3D printers and won Thingiverse's Top Designer award. Then I founded Bravo, a design studio where I led and mentored 25+ designers through 325+ websites, apps and software products before selling it in 2024.
Since then I've designed and shipped the operating software for three companies of my own: a property manager with about 250 properties, a 65-property vacation-rental operator and a 25-person home-services company across 6 markets. I owned the design, the decisions and the quality bar for every one of them.
In 2026 I stepped back from running them to do the part I enjoy most, full time: designing products inside a team that ships.
